"Real Food, Real Science, Real Change, Real Life"

Hi, I am Kindann Fawcett, owner of The Dietitian Doctor, a dietetic clinic specializing in the nutrition, health, and well-being of individuals and organizations. I have spent the last 16 years developing my skills as a scientist, educator, and nutrition business professional.

Professionally, I am a registered and licensed dietitian in the states of Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, and Certified Dietitian and Nutritionist in the sate of New York. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Exercise from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Science in Community Health Promotion, and a Ph.D. in Behavioral Health Science from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

After working in public health and nutrition, I completed an ISPP (Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway) in Dietetics with The Ohio State University and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Pediatrics focusing on neuromuscular diseases and nutrition. This has led me to advocate and work with those affected with rare diseases while creating a collaborative multidisciplinary environment that integrates academics, research, and clinical practice. My experiences include development, design, and implementation of individual nutrition, health, and wellness initiatives, as well as worksite wellness programs. I believe in educating individuals and groups with the knowledge and tools necessary to take small, realistic, and attainable steps towards achieving their goals.

In private practice, I take great pride in helping individuals accomplish their goals. Inspiring behavior changes with motivational interviewing and counseling psychology helps me create ownership with my clients on their individualized goals and allows them to “own” their own health journey.  I am here as a guide, cheerleader, wingman/women if you will. I believe in solving real food and nutrition challenges with simple, yet effective solutions and this is a very important part of my practice. I can’t wait to join you on your journey!

On a personal note: My moto of Real Food, Real Science, Real Change, Real Life is not simply a catchphrase, but a way of life. I look forward to working together-

All my Best,

Dr. Fawcett RD, LD
